Eating healthy is hard to do, not only trying to make your toddler do so but yourself, as well.
MY MCDONALD’S ADDICTION
First of all, we’re always on the go, so it’s too easy to drop in at McDonald’s to get her some finger foods. Our favorite is the McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets Meal. She loves the French fries, especially, and sometimes the nuggets. I always get a large Diet Coke.
I guess by now you know why I’m at least 15 pounds overweight. Now, don’t get me wrong I do try to eat healthy. But, I’m sort of a McDonald’s fan, too.
COOKING HEALTHier meals VS. EATING FAST FOOD
If you’ve seen my previous blogs, you’ll also know that I also enjoy cooking healthy. My daughter is very petite, while I am no longer. But I know I can and will return to that shape, even as I hope she’ll never have issues with her weight. Now, she can afford to eat whatever she wants within reason, while I can’t. Still, the hubby still wants our daughter to eat healthier. Making our daughter eat healthy forces me to eat healthy, too.

These are some of the healthy finger foods that Ariabella enjoys, but she doesn’t always eat them. Sometimes she wants fried chicken fingers, chicken nuggets or fish sticks. Trader Joe’s has some healthy chicken nuggets and other finger foods for toddlers.
EATING HEALTHier IS A CHOICE WE CAN ALL MAKE
Eating healthier is a choice we can all make. Our daughter ♥’s ketchup, so pay attention to sauces that might entice your toddler to eat healthier. As long as we add a little ketchup–look for the variety with no high fructose corn syrup–to her veggies or grilled chicken strips, she’ll eat it!
If your toddler is picky and or petite like ours, you do what you can to get them to eat.
