mean kid

Mean Kid Behavior Starts Early

We can all become defensive of our offspring, despite the fact that some parents might actually be raising a mean kid. My daughter just turned 13 months. Crockpot Your Way To Home Made Baby Food

Home Made Baby Food

Baby Food Made Simple

Baby food can be super easy to make, more easy than you might think. I’m not a huge cook, but I absolutely love cooking soup. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I would make a ton of soup and so it’s no surprise that my daughter loves my soups.

Home Made Baby FoodBaby food is very simple to make when you throw it all in the crockpot. Depending upon the size of your family. Since there’s just three in ours, we usually have enough for mommy and daddy and then enough to blend to make into baby food. Continue reading “Crockpot Your Way To Home Made Baby Food” →

Breastfeeding, Fatigue, New Mom, Nursing, New Mama, Parenting
Breastfeeding and the Tired Mama

Breastfeeding = Fatigue?

Breastfeeding and fatigue go hand in hand, but so does being a new mama. I’ve been breastfeeding since my daughter was just minutes old. She latched on immediately, despite my fear that we wouldn’t have a strong bond after my emergency C-section. To rewind, I had this “perfect” birth plan including music selection, dim lights, ice chips…and it all came crashing down when a failed epidural + the baby heart dropping every time I pushed = emergency C-section. Becoming a Daddy … and a Real Man

[smartslider3 slider=2]

One of my jobs as Daddy is to rock Ariabella to sleep each night after reading to her. If all goes well, by the time we finish the second or third book she is rubbing her eyes, my clue to turn off the light and usher her into night-night land.

New Mommy

Orbit Baby
Orbit Baby, the most awesome stroller on this planet!

While my daughter is now almost 11 months old, it still feels like I brought her home from the hospital yesterday. Continue reading “Still a Rookie & Loving Every Minute” →
