Capturing Childhood Moments: Motherhood From The Camera Lens

Capturing childhood moments is so vital, which is why I have some type of recording device with me at all times. It’s amazing how much the iPhone comes in handy. I currently have the iPhone 6 Plus and would love to upgrade to the iPhone 7, but instead I’ll waiting for the 8.

Why Capturing Childhood Moments Matters

My personal opinion, as a videographer and content producer, is that camera phone quality will only get better. So anyway, if you are in love with your child/children then I bet you’ve got tons of pictures. Capturing childhood moments is too important not to take seriously. After all, pictures as well as videos are worth so much than verbal stories.

My New Year’s Resolution: To post 365 (1 minute) videos and articles. Yep, that’s one video and article each day for the entire year!

Capturing Childhood Moments: capable On Any Device

You don’t need a really expensive camera to capture childhood moments. Isn’t it better to have videos plus photos to visually share with your family? Perhaps, it may not be a big deal now because they’re too young to care. But, what about when your son or daughter is all grown up? This is why I am determined to document motherhood as well as my daughter’s childhood.

Case in point, I whipped out my iPhone super quick when my daughter started walking around in my red heels again. Sometimes you don’t have time to set up the shots when life happens organically. So excuse our messy home. Ha ha ha. Anway, my toddler is better at walking in my red stilettos than me! No kidding, literally 5-inch red stilettos and she ♥’s them. She gets upset and cries if we try to take them away from her. It can be annoying when your toddler doesn’t listen to you. But, one coping skill I’m trying to develop is finding the humor in these situations. When you capture childhood moments, even the frustrating ones, you document life. And, life isn’t always easy such as parenting is an extremely challenging task. But, for me when I capture childhood moments, good or bad, it grounds me in appreciation.

If You ♥ Capturing Childhood Moments, You Need Extra Storage!

It’s imperative to use a cloud storage device such as Dropbox plus use external hard drives to back up all your files. Trust me, you don’t want your computer crashing or to lose a ton of photos when you lose your phone or it breaks. Everyone has to have data packages on their phone, plus storage space. Back up everything you shoot, because there’s nothing worst than losing a single memorable moment.
